Fume Hood

Client Licensed Lab Space

Clients may elect to license a single bench, a fume hood, a lab office, or an entire 900+ sq ft wet lab, which includes office space, and bay area for additional storage (dry lab).  We also have Pods which have 3 desk areas each available to Service Providers and short-term renters.

Lab License Rates
            $25.00/sq ft wet lab space
            $20.00/sq ft dry/office lab space
             - Rates increase $2.00/sq ft each year of subsequent occupancy
Wet labs are equipped with fixed and moveable benches, shelving, casework, fume hood, certified biosafety cabinet, 120v single phase electrical outlets (higher voltage can be accommodated), data connections, telephone jacks, ID-card accessed door, back-up generator, house-compressed air and vacuum, hot/cold potable water, sink, RO/DI water, natural gas, eyewash/safety shower, fixed lighting.

License Fees Include:  parking directly behind the building; wireless Internet and 24-7 public safety and parking lot/entry area video security.  On-site staff are available during daytime hours to assist with building maintenance, acceptance of delivered mail/packages, matching services to Upstate Medical University clinical or basic science experts or core facilities, coordination of graduate student interns (provided through a 50% match program); coordination of conference rooms, coordination of hazardous waste removal, provision of NYS notary service.

  Collaboration Space


A critical feature of incubation is the synergy that occurs. 

CNYBAC provides several collaboration areas and programs.  This includes the Upstate MIND, a medical innovation and novel discovery center with a 200+ seat Theater-in-the-MIND, the National Grid Creation Garage, home of the CNYBAC Medical Device Innovation Challenge, Cafe/catering area

Shared Equipment/Protoyping Center

CNYBAC provides access to shared equipment inclusive of protyping equipment/Stratysys 3D printer thanks to a grant from SUNY College of Environmental Sciences and Forestry.
